Northern Ireland’s Apex Housing Association Partners with Mobysoft to Revolutionise Tenancy Sustainment

Apex Housing Association (Apex), a prominent provider of social housing in Northern Ireland, has partnered with leading data-analytics provider to the social housing sector Mobysoft that will see the social housing provider harness the cutting-edge RentSense platform. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in Apex’s journey towards innovative arrears management and sustained tenant support.

Established in 1965 as Derry Housing Association, Apex has a rich history of addressing housing shortages and promoting home ownership in Northern Ireland. Over the years, it has expanded its geographical base and now operates extensively across Northern Ireland providing purpose-built accommodation tailored to the needs of its tenants and residents.

Apex’s commitment to meeting housing needs is further exemplified by the adoption of the RentSense platform. Amidst the challenges posed by the post-pandemic landscape and the ongoing cost of living crisis, Apex is proactively seeking solutions to ensure sustainable tenancies and targeted support for its tenants during economic uncertainty.

Mobysoft’s innovative RentSense platform utilises Artificial Intelligence and Data Science to analyse trends and payment patterns from across 2 million social tenancies. This empowers landlords to offer an ultra-early intervention approach, allowing Apex to identify potential rent payment issues at the earliest stage. Such timely identification ensures that appropriate tenant support and advice can be swiftly targeted and prioritised for those in need.

Commenting on the partnership, Mobysoft CEO, Paul Evans, stated: “We are extremely pleased to partner with Apex Housing Association in their mission to reduce arrears and prevent financial exclusion amongst its tenants. By leveraging our RentSense platform, Apex is poised to drive efficiencies, tackle arrears, and sustain tenancies, ultimately enhancing the well-being of their communities.”

Donna Matthewson, Apex’s Director of Housing, remarked: “At Apex, we are dedicated to maintaining sector-leading performance while adapting to the changing needs of our widely dispersed property portfolio and an ever-increasingly complex caseload. The partnership with Mobysoft aligns perfectly with our commitment, enabling us to proactively support our tenants and navigate the challenges ahead with confidence.”
