Gloucester City Homes Leverages Mobysoft’s AI-Powered RepairSense to Slash Repeat Repairs and Save £41K
Gloucester City Homes (GCH), an independent housing association with over 5,000 social properties, has significantly reduced repeat repair visits and achieved cost savings of over £41,947 in the first six months of using Mobysoft’s AI-powered RepairSense application and Damp & Mould Module, transforming the way its repairs and maintenance teams operate.
Since adopting RepairSense, GCH has completed 7,899 jobs, reduced prevention repeat repairs by 24.9%, and flagged problematic repairs more effectively—leading to 209 fewer repeater jobs. These improvements have empowered engineers and managers to work smarter, make data-driven decisions, and maintain high first-time fix rates even amid staffing pressures.
“RepairSense gives our teams the data they need to take ownership and make informed decisions. It’s empowered everyone—from engineers to managers,” said Lee Duty, Director of Homes & Sustainability at GCH. “Instead of just repairing the same problem repeatedly—which drives up spend—we’re now able to make confident decisions about whether something needs replacing altogether.”
Before implementing RepairSense, GCH grappled with high volumes of repeat repairs, difficulty tracking job quality, and rising costs. With Mobysoft’s solution, they now conduct monthly performance reviews and workshops based on real-time insights, allowing them to reduce unnecessary visits and optimise staff time—even amid recruitment challenges.
Before RepairSense, we didn’t have a system in place to surface problematic repeat repair jobs or get to the root cause quickly. Now, our data-led approach is helping us make smarter decisions across the board. Mobysoft has been an outstanding partner—if I could, I’d buy all my software from them.

Mobysoft’s RepairSense Damp & Mould Module has also proved essential for tracking recurring cases and preparing GCH for more robust assurance and reporting. The dashboard offers clear visibility for board-level oversight while reducing reliance on manual processes.
“Gloucester City Homes is a standout example of what can be achieved when organisations harness AI-powered insights to solve real-world problems,” said Sean Grace, Regional Director (South of England & Wales) at Mobysoft. “The operational efficiencies, cost reductions, and cultural shift we’ve seen at GCH are a testament to their commitment to service excellence—and we’re proud to be supporting them on that journey.”
With engineers more engaged and access to trusted data now driving decision-making across the organisation, GCH has halved the frequency of operational meetings while enhancing the quality of discussions—freeing up valuable time to focus on delivering better outcomes for tenants.
