Cassiltoun Invests in RentSense to Focus Resources and Support Tenants

Cassiltoun Housing, based in Castlemilk in Glasgow, has invested in RentSense to help focus its resources the social housing provider can continue to support its tenants and wider community through the cost of living crisis.

With many of Cassiltoun’s customers already struggling to manage on limited budgets, the landlord is keen to help mitigate the effects of the cost of living crisis exacerbating the situation.

“Cassiltoun’s business has been impacted by external events for the past three years. We have had to deal with the impact of Covid, supply side shortages and staff turnover followed by inflationary pressure on our business as costs increase. This is now coupled with the potential restriction on income through rent caps. We are a resilient organisation and want to use new technology like RentSense to improve our processes and make best use of our resources,” explains Clair Malpas, Cassiltoun’s Chief Executive.

Before selecting RentSense Cassiltoun talked to other RentSense users in Scotland to understand their experience, and how it had helped the organisation and its tenants.

Other RentSense users have confirmed that they have seen a reduction in their rent arrears, and by improving internal processes it (RentSense) has freed up staff time to enable them to tackle other tasks that support achieving business KPI’s and ultimately tenants.”
