Technical Account Manager

In this the role, you will assist both new sales & account management identifying business value and collaborating on revenue generating strategies and opportunities. As a secondary focus, you will participate on various projects to improve the overall sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales representatives team to drive revenue for new client revenue (the role will have a target and bonus plan based on new sales)
  • Partner with the account director team to support retention (explaining the unique differences between reporting and predictive analytics), upselling new modules and moving clients to long term contracts (the role will carry a target and bonus plan based upon retention, upsell and multi-year contracts)
  • Produce and/or deliver customer specific demonstrations, technical presentations and pilot/proof of concept activities
  • Build a solution architecture and assist the sales team in creating a buying vision
  • Contribute to RFI/RFP responses, by owning the technical part of the proposal
  • Carry out formal and informal assessments
  • Build a business case and a Return on Investment calculation to justify the solution
  • Educate the sales force on value propositions and product capabilities to improve self-sufficiency of sales reps
  • Foster relationships with key technology contacts across the new client & existing clients based (IT, transformation. Project management etc)
  • Work with product management and engineering teams to define offerings and provide insight from the field back to these groups
  • Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

You will come from a pre-sales background most likely working for a software vendor or a software division of a large multinational IT company that has adopted insights or solution based approach to selling.

  • BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or related disciplines is desirable
  • Domain expertise will include some or all of the following:
    • Social Housing
    • Predictive Analytics
  • Proven track record of winning business through technical excellence
  • Extensive background in a customer facing role working on proof of concept development and delivery; customization and integration; functional demonstration; customer evaluation and business presentation
  • Knowledge of the English language is mandatory
  • Strong public speaking skills (onsite, conference or seminar)
  • Strong documentation skills (Word, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
